Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had constant neck pain for about 5 days now (left side, continuing into my shoulder) and my x-ray analysis said mild narrowing of the C6/7. My doctor didn t speak much English, so she couldn t explain what it means. I live in China... What s going on?
C6 and c7 are the cerebral bones in your neck called cervical vertebras. There are gaps between two adjacent vertebral bones through which nerves travel to and from the spinal cord. If the space between them narrows it can create a constant pressure or irritation over these nerves which in turn can cause severe chronic pain. Do not worry as there are many new procedures that can help you relieve the pain.
